Maybe add a feature to make a custom link like www.yourdomain.com/get-role/[Custom Code Here] it still can auto generate you one, but you can turn on custom code for that specific group i think this would be cool to add.

Misticalkai I intentionally didn't implement it because it required more fields and validation, but you can edit the token of an existing invite code directly in the database to achieve it.

This extension is a nice tool. I know support is on best effort, so I'm simply asking:

A newly created account gets this message when attempting to join the group:

Your current user doesn't have the permission to join groups. Sign into another account.

What privilege do I need to assign to my standard members so they can join a group they receive an invite to?

blueCamel on the extension page in the admin panel, at the bottom there is a single permission (I don't remember the exact name). Set it to "Members" to allow everyone to use links.

Has it been tested with flarum 1.8? I am on 1.4 and preparing migration to 1.8 this summer.

(And thank you very much for your extension is a key feature for the educational forum I manage for it allows easily new students to join the correct group with a simple click).
