issues installing extensions on flarum manually.

Hi everyone,

I am trying to install some addons to my flarum but I keep getting error saying:

I have installed flarum beta as I dont see any stable version of the forum.
php composer.phar require fof/gamification public_html/
I have tried to install this plugin for test but keep getting error as shown above.

equ are you executing composer commands in the flarum root directory ?

You can't add a path on the require command. Take a look at the documentation.
Run your require command from your flarum root. In your case i guess public_html is the root folder from your flarum:

Move composer.phar to public_html
run php composer.phar require fof/gamification from your public_html folder

equ funkeye alternatively, Composer has a --working-dir=/path/to/flarum parameter.

Every "normal" argument to require will be read as a package name, as multiple packages can be required at once. All option arguments are prefixed with -- as the documentation linked by funkeye shows.
