Error Message When Logging in or Signing Up

First of all, I would like to say this forum software is awesome. It is by far the BEST forum software I have ever used. The problem I'm having is when a user signs up or logs in. When they sign up or log in, an error comes up in the bottom left corner that says "The requested resource was not found." It still lets them log in, but it is kind of annoying to have. I tried doing php flarum cache:clear but then an error came up saying Fatal error: Uncaught PDOException: SQLSTATE[HY000] [2002] No such file or directory in /~/public_html/forums/vendor/doctrine/dbal/lib/Doctrine/DBAL/Driver/PDOConnection.php:27. What should I do?

Ironboltx what value did you provide for your database host? You can find it in the config.php.

Clarification:

There was no error when doing php flarum cache:clear, but there was the same "The requested resource was not found." error when logging in or signing up.

Make sure MySQL is running and you can connect to it with the credentials provided.

The database is running. It does log me in but it’s just annoying to have the error message before it completes the login.

That pdo exception relates to PHP not being able to connect to the database. Is the forum in general working? Eg showing posts?

Yea it was working. I think it might have been a bug that I caused because there were a lot of requests being sent to the site while it was the files were being updated. I just re-installed flarum and now it works perfectly. Thanks!

So what happens is when I log in, there is an error in the bottom left corner saying "The requested resource was not found". I then refresh the page and I get logged in. So when I log in, it does log me in but it does not redirect me to the forum. Instead, it gives me an error message saying the requested resource was not found. This is a fresh install of flarum.

Also php flarum:cache clear works perfectly.

Ironboltx do you have mod_rewrite enabled in Apache ?

I did this in my .htaccess file in my /public_html folder

but when I would go to my forums, I would get an error that said

Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator at webmaster@(website).com to inform them of the time this error occurred, and the actions you performed just before this error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Ironboltx can you try to add

Require all granted

To that same block, then save / restart Apache.

So, you'll land up with this

Let me know if this works.

In addition to this, you should check to ensure that your apache user has access to the flarum directory
