I was recently looking at google page insights for on of my discussions based on google search console recommendation.

It says I have some slow page loading times which I believe is result of having lots of high quality photos on my flarum.

One of the recommendations from google was:

Consider lazy-loading offscreen and hidden images after all critical resources have finished loading to lower time to interactive.

So is there any lazy loading extensions out there? Or is anyone thinking of making any? Any other creative easyish ways to cut down on my load times with large images for my mobile users?

My set up is the fof/upload extension hosting images on AWS.

You might try to reduce the size of the image that can be uploaded and determine the maximum dimensions of each image and thus reduce the problem. Your forum looks nice and has interesting posts, but maybe they don’t need to be in that high quality and those big sizes some of them.

I also planned to use the FoF / Upload extension along with Amazon Simple Storage S3 and I'm really interested in how it works for others, although your problem is interesting.
