Can't be translated by google translate?

datitisev I was assuming Csineneo was talking about embedding Google translate on the site. I recall @luceos had it set up on the old flarum.today website ... but I can't remember offhand whether he had to do anything specific to get it working.

@luceos had it working on the Flarum international site at one point; perhaps he can give you a few pointers.

@Dominion it still works on https://discuss.flarum.org for me AND other Flarum forums, so what could be the problem?
It also translates right when a discussion or posts load, which is great ?

EDIT: Sorry, didn't notice you meant exactly Google Translate, I am on Chrome (Mobile) so it asks automatically to translate anything other than English into English... Although if it works this way, Google Translate might be the problem itself ?

Dominion From what I know, the embed only starts to translate when you tell it to... Unless it haves it automatically... Nevertheless, it should work, because, as the name said, embeds load after the page load... But it might load before the pages content loads (via JavaScript)

I can't check the console right now (mobile), but do any errors occur to you?

To answer the question asked about integrating google translate, I had this extension that simply added a piece of javascript. However any visitor using Google chrome probably had the same experience with translating.

Will be very useful can give the possibility to visit the forum translated on other language. For Italian forum for example is useful to be able to show post in English.

At the moment seems this is not yet possible 🙂 Interesting discussion here 😃
