I'm using currently using Amazon Lightsail LAMP instance with 2 GB RAM.
As my site grows, and I hope it continues to grow, I want to know how easy it will be to do a server upgrade in the future.
Lightsail allows me to take "Snapshots" and then create a new (larger) instance from the snapshot.
It seemingly worked pretty well. I was even able to SSH to the folder Flarum is installed in and successfully install a new extension.
When I go to the new IP where the mirror of my site is hosted (on the larger machine), the results are quite interesting:
- I see all the posts that were there before, but none of them load if I click on them. Error is "Oops! Something went wrong. Please reload the page and try again."
- None of the icons work: Imgur
- I can't log in with my admin account.
- I can't make a new account - "Oops! ..." error again.
I'm not sure if this is relevant, but my PHP config files have https://siteurl.com, but I am accessing the mirror from a new public IP address that points to the new Lightsail instance. Also, the IP I am accessing the mirror'ed forum on is not secure (SSL), whereas the real version of the site is.
Really don't even know where to start here. Any tips appreciated.
