Showing Sub Tag On The Same Level As Primary Tags?

Is there a way that I can show one (maybe multiple) sub tag on the same level as the primary tags?

huuduy216 Is there a reason it has to be a sub tag? Could it be another Primary tag? You can adjust the Tag Settings to allow more than one Primary tag to be selected, if that's the issue.

If not, can you explain your goal for showing sub tags on the same level as Primary tags?

jordanjay29 just better visibility and management. Let's say I have a tag call "Film" there could be "Action" "Drama" "Musical" etc. under "Film"

However, "hiding" the sub tag under "Film" untill the user click on it could cause them to lose interest. Suppose I'm trying to promote my community to people that love "Sci-fi movie" by running ads of my website and articles. It would be easier for people to lane on the home page if they can see the "Sci-fi" sub tag.

If we have multiple primary tag (one for each genre), we are run into the risk of fragmenting the user based. People that clicked in one genre will less likely to click on another genre. Also it's not really scalable as you add more genre.

Sounds like you're hoping to show nested tags on the All Discussions/other tags pages. For which, this is sadly the answer. It would need an extension to do this, or a fork of the existing Tags extension.

I'd really love to see this option as well someday, I hope a solution presents itself. Perhaps after stable, it'll show up on the roadmap, too.
