I think that they're asking to change their join date on this forum to 2020-11-29, which would involve database editing and that's not something Discuss normally does.

Also, I see no reason why would you want to edit your join date. Does it matter?

If I understand the question correctly, OP is asking to use hard dates instead of fuzzy time.

Which would require an extension for the humanTime helpers.

I don't think it can be changed easily.

I think it's important to point out that the value uses "intelligent" formatting by default, not only the number of days. You can see how it shows the actual date for older users.

If you want to to some more research yourself, the method formatting the time is called humanTime https://github.com/flarum/core/blob/v0.1.0-beta.14.1/js/src/common/utils/humanTime.ts . Unfortunately it cannot easily be customized by extensions. It dynamically switches between fromNow, ll and D MMM formatting of DayJS depending on the time elapsed.

If you only want to change the formatting for the join date and not other uses of humanTime, an extension can replace joined in UserCard.prototype.infoItems https://github.com/flarum/core/blob/v0.1.0-beta.14.1/js/src/forum/components/UserCard.js#L94

If you're editing core, you should setup a fork and make sure to run javascript compilation and clear the cache. Core files in vendor should not be edited.

If you're making an extension, same things to keep in mind. You might want to share your code for us to review if it's not working.
