How would you go to create some personal resumes?

Hello everyone,
So, my idea is this, I'd like every input about it.

We need a place to collect users profiles. Those will be entered by the users, like a resume with links and stuff, and should be only viewable by the creating user and people in a certain group.
How would you go to do that?

It's for a forum of biologist, so that a group can connect people with certain skills to others when needed.
I could use the personal profile, but I can't search those, and I could use normal topics but there is no permission setting to "only show to author".

Any idea if this is doable with flarum? I'm on freeflarum atm

Theoretically, this could be possible on FreeFlarum. If you'd use the Mason extension, you could set up discussions for each profile with custom fields and then assign per-tag permissions for groups and users you want to be able to see them. But I have a feeling that you'll end up with many tags and groups for different people, which is not very efficient. Keep in mind that due to the limited choice of extensions at FreeFlarum, you will need to have a big imagination to achieve such a feature on a standard FreeFlarum forum. Maybe someone else has a different approach to this kind of problem, so this is just my opinion.

Without any custom extension I don't think this is possible right now.
