Disable syntax highlighting

Hi,

How do I disable syntax highlighting for bbcode?
Using Insert code ignores syntax highlighting but when I use [code] it triggers syntax highlighting which I want to disable because I run a javascript through violentmonkey in my browser, it doesn't functions anymore since I updated s9etextformatter

According to the highlightjs docs, you can mark the code as plaintext. If that doesn't work for your specific use, you'll have to write an extension to change the template.

JoshyPHP Sadly, Creating an extension is not my cup of tea.
I had the plaintext in the earlier s9eTextFormatter version before I updated it to latest version yesterday.

Is there any other way?
Or is there any code that I can put in javascript .js file to ignore syntax highlighting on the go?

I wouldn't know off the top of my head. Also, why wouldn't ```plaintext or [code=plaintext] not work?

Or is there a way I can use s9etextformatter without highlight.js? or disable it with css?

Via an extension, yes, otherwise not really. The problem is that you're effectively asking whether anybody wants to create an extension to fix a custom script that runs in your personal browser.

I don't know what "violentmonkey" does (it runs custom JavaScript I believe?) but you may want to look into addressing the issue at its level instead.

JoshyPHP Found an easy but temporary way, blocking https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/gh/s9e/hljs-loader@1.0.16/loader.min.js through browser did the trick, now syntax highlighting is disabled

Or blocking https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/gh/highlightjs/cdn-release@10.3.1/build/highlight.min.js works the same way, should I block one of these urls or both?

The first one loads the other, so probably only the first one. Note that the version number changes frequently so if your thing supports wildcard you should replace everything after @ with one.

Although it solved my problem but is there a way I can block that url site-wide through less script or extend or through my javascript?

Edit, Blocked it with window.hljsLoader = {}; with the help of stackoverflow member 😃
