Default homepage

I have a Flarum installation installed at the public root. So, mysite.com. I thought that would be how I would keep it and that I wouldn’t want a landing page / homepage / portal. But, now I do. I don’t want to move the forum. I know the pages extension will let you set a page as the default homepage. But, that’s a pages page. I want something separate from Flarum to be my homepage.

I tried setting a pages extension page as the homepage, which you can do. Then I added a JavaScript redirect. But the redirect doesn’t trigger.

I might... if it looks OK, add an iframe to the pages extension's page. That might work.

Any ideas anyone has would be appreciated. Ideas besides creating a Flarum extension please.

010101 that's not really supported.

You could use an apache/nginx rewrite to have the homepage handled by another script/app. But you will also need to tweak Flarum so it doesn't attempt to navigate to / with a single page app internal navigation. This will likely require a javascript extension to hooks into the m.route.Link (alternatively flarum/components/Link) component of Mithril to disable routing when the path is /.
