Beta 12 to Beta 14 Issue

Hi friends.

I'm trying to upgrade from Beta 12. I've followed all the instructions, I've cleaned out the non-supported extensions, I disable all of them, and when I install there are no reported issues, but no matter what I do (I've restored from backup at least 20 times so far) my site stops working - I get a 500 server error.

On the server, though, I can't see anything wrong. php flarum migrate shows that we're on beta 14. Using the Extiverse tool I get the following:

Does anyone have any thoughts on how I can get the server back up and running beyond beta 12? 🤔

Ok, the 500 error was due to a permissions issue. I've now fixed that, but there's not much showing on the site anymore: https://chat.moonshotspace.co

Most links no longer appear on the site, but if I go to the admin tab I can see the graph only. If I go directly to the extensions URL (since the menu doesn't show anymore) then I can enable and disable extensions, but that's the most I can really do.

Actually, there is one error on the install. I don't think it's catastrophic, though?

Ok, I've been playing with the extensions. The problem was caused by various FoF extensions each not updating to an appropriate version that was compatible with Beta 14. I've gone through each of the discussion threads and manually updated each to the Beta 14 compatible versions.

All fixed now.

troymccann I'm no composer expert, but I think a composer update would update all packages at once. Or if you use extiverse to upgrade, I think that will also trigger all packages to be upgraded. When I upgraded from Beta 13 straight to 15 I didn't have to update each individual extension, just used the upgrade option in extiverse and I was good to go. Give it a shot when moving from beta 15 to 16 next time 🙂 Thanks for sharing your troubleshooting and outcome with others.

Yeah, that's usually what happens with me, also. I'm not a composer expert either, so I'm unsure why they weren't updating this time. 🤔
