Frequency of email notifications, and default settings for following threads

Hi all,

Is there a setting somewhere to change the frequency of email notifications for users? It would be great to allow hourly, daily and weekly aggregated email options rather than just on or off.

Secondly, is there a way for me to make it default for all new users to automatically follow discussions that they reply to, rather than the default being not to follow?

troymccann Flarum emails are not designed to be grouped together, so there will always be one email for one post. An extension could be designed to create grouped notifications.

If you wanted to delay emails for performance reasons rather than user experience, Flarum supports a queue driver that could allow some delaying/spacing between emails to prevent too many from being sent at once.

Excellent, thanks @clarkwinkelmann. That's a pity because unless email notifications are turned off it can get quite spammy with all the individual emails. Is this on the dev roadmap at all?
