Setting up welcome emails for new users

Can someone teach me or point me to a past discussion that talks about how to set up welcome emails for new registrants?
Another question - is it possible for new users to click a link in the welcome email which confirms their registration on my forum?

mventures you could customize the text of the "Activate account" email using the Linguist extension.

However that email is only sent to new users registering with a password. Social login never receive any email in Flarum.

I don't think there's any extension that add proper welcome emails at this time.
