The polls feature can be discussed in the that other thread he linked to; as I said there, you will likely need a third-party extension for that.

I don't think we have a discussion that's specifically about using Flarum for an educational site, so I'll leave this one open as a place for discussion of this topic. If you have in mind any other specific features that may make Flarum more useful in this regard, please try searching for it ... it's quite likely someone's already asked for the same thing!
