Justoverclock you could get in touch with the maintainer of one of the Italian language pack extensions, or use the Linguist extension to edit the translations yourself on your forum.

MichaelBelgium I am using the German language extension which doesn't seem to support it. However, if you'd support Linguist that'd be easily fixable!

What's the problem between Discussion views and Linguist? The translations appear fine in Linguist for me. Make sure you enable the English language while you work on translations, since Linguist only shows translations that are loaded in at least one language. You can disable English later once you're finished.

clarkwinkelmann Interesting, when I click on the extension in Linguist I get the following message: "No translations were found in the expected namespace "michaelbelgium-discussion-views". Maybe this extension doesn't have any text to translate or is using a different namespace. Try using the search filed to locate its translations.". When searching for text such as "Latest viewers" there are no results.

Tapao cookie won't prevent view count farming 💩 (well, it might stop the script kiddies) It needs to be IP-based or advanced browser fingerprinting to actually be effective against a malicious actor. And that still won't stop botnet-based solutions, though I don't think that's the kind of attack you're worrying about here.
