Pinning a discussion to the top

Is there anyway I can pin a discussion, like a rules discussion? or do I need an extension for that?
I'm on flarum beta 15 😃

No such thing. Usually forums use word "Pinned".

It's worth noting that sticky in fact will still float down for logged in users once they have read. Guests will always see the posts listed at the top.

I read somewhere in here that that's the way it is in flarum if you view All discussions, BUT, if you click on certain tag that have sticky topic in it, it will be on top. Which makes sense. Why would you want to see sticky rules for category "Support" on All discussion? You click on support tag and boom, rules for support on top.

I can't see how to pin my 1st How-To use post - I guess it's s'posed to be obvious but I'm stumped - anyone able to help?

simoninedinburgh discussion action dropdown > Sticky

On the discussion page for desktop it's the split dropdown next to reply button, on mobile it's the 3 dot menu in the top right. On the discussion list it's the 3 dot menu on desktop and slide left on mobile.

Stickied discussions appear at the top of the discussion list until the user reads it. Make sure the Sticky extension is enabled.
