davidxcgdr Hello. So, recently, I signed up with an ALT account, and I can't confirm my GMail due to an "unexpected error". Image 1 Image 2 Image 3 Console logs
askvortsov davidxcgdr sorry, I meant in the storage/logs folder of your flarum installation. My guess is that your flarum install isn't configured to send email. I might be wrong though.
davidxcgdr askvortsov Oh. I don't know how to setup websites, I am very sorry about that. What's its location, please?
askvortsov davidxcgdr are you the owner of the flarum instance? If so, is hosted by you, or on freeflarum?
davidxcgdr askvortsov Yes. Current configuration: Addresses Sender noreply+davidxcgdr@freeflarum.com Driver mail Configuration Image 429 bug
askvortsov davidxcgdr you should reach out on the FreeFlarum thread for support, they might be able to advise on what's going wrong with the mail config.
SKevo davidxcgdr the driver is supposed to be "SMTP" instead of "mail". Also, we've blocked the test mail route, that's why you're getting 429 error when clicking the test mail button (this is to prevent spam).
davidxcgdr SKevo Alright, thanks for the answer! I appreciate it! Also, question. What is the "encryption" thing for the SMTP mailing system? idk
SKevo davidxcgdr "Email encryption is encryption of email messages to protect the content from being read by entities other than the intended recipients. Email encryption may also include authentication. Email is prone to the disclosure of information." Pretty self-explanatory. Flarum knows either ssl or tls, see https://docs.flarum.org/mail.html for more useful Flarum E-mail setup tips Cute avatar BTW
