I think it would be nice if the avatars or icons of the roles chosen by the user are shown instead of user avatars in the discussions listed on the homepage. For example, if a role such as men and women is selected, it is better if it is the symbol of the role the user has chosen rather than the avatar of the person. If this option can be added in the registration roles plugin made by @IanM, it would be nice for different thematic role-based forums.
For example, in github, the icon of the discussion changes according to the device category such as pc, mobile in the discussion list.
Also this adding a filter to list discussions as registration roles will nice (feedback/future request)
