Hi everyone,

I'm looking for a web host that supports Flarum. I’ve looked at FreeFlarum but I’d rather pay a host so I’m not limited to members.

Does anyone have any recommendations? Or can you even point me to a discussion on this?

chrisc where are or will the core of you users be based ? This would give us a better indication as to what's available in your region.

chrisc I would also recommend Liquid Web in a heartbeat. I have been using them for quite a few years now and haven't been able to fault them whatsoever.

Namecheap is good, I have been using its shared hosting services for 1 year.
One drawback is the physical memory isn't enough to support flarum's extension installations. So you will have to install on your own PC and then upload it to the server

chrisc ok. Are you looking for a vps ? If yes, IONOS (whom I use) have some great deals on presently. Let me know if you're not looking for a vps and just want hosting that comes with SSH, have a look at Krystal Hosting.

[deleted] i use Krystal at present. They are great at most, but when I installed Flarum previously I noticed weird things happening with the layout etc - not sure what that was to do with. For example, if I viewed the categories page, i displayed a list instead of a grid.

I’ll check out IONOS. I don’t mind paying for a VPS plan that I know is going to work just as long as it isn’t a fortune as this is just a hobby site.

chrisc that sounds more like a configuration issue in all honesty. Is there anything displayed in he browser console ?

[deleted] I think I’ll give Krystal a go again then come back here should I face issues. I think I had trouble getting it to install to the root domain before as well and had to install to a sub directory.

I’m free tomorrow so I’ll try it again then, and come back with my progress. I appreciate your help!

chrisc yes, that's a bug and the Dev team is aware.
