Extension Who's online like Vbulletin

What do u think about this extension? I used vbulletin long time ago, and I liked this extension a lot, the who's online extension recognize active user currently online, search bot, and unregistered user, like this:

is complicated for u developers? 🙂

Justoverclock tracking registered users is a lot easier because the data is already in the database (user "last seen at" date)

For all other kind of visitors, it requires adding the logic to track them. Not impossible, but just more work.

Also I'm not sure how you would count search bots on single page apps since some will be using the no-js version and others will be using the SPA.

not sure about this too: it was just an example from vbulletin extension 😃

maybe could be limited to guest and registered user, and maybe groups like:

who's online:
117 registered user
245 guests
4 moderator
5 Admin
etc...

maybe with respective badge as icon
