Problem to install the "upload" plugin

Hello all,

I have some issues with installing the upload plugin.

I try to install the "upload" plugin, the installation is going well, but unable to upload a file.
I have the following generic message: Oops! Something went wrong. Please reload the page and try again.
The rights on the files are good (www-data), the directories exist, no log message, no error message under apache.
The type of file is well authorized in the configuration of the plugin.
The files do not seem to be uploaded on the server (nothing neither here: flarum/storage/tmp or there flarum/ public/api/ fof /upload

I have a message in the console of firefox, which is incomprehensible to me.

I am in beta.16.

And recently, I also have the same error message when I post a message: Oops! Something went wrong. Please reload the page and try again.
but the message is well posted and visible when the page reloads.

Switching to "debug" mode does not provide any additional information (I tried)

I have been looking in the forum for several days but I cannot find the solution

I don't know what else to try ...

Any errors in storage/logs in the latest file?

No.
No errors in the logs. The last entry was more than 10 days old and concerned an email sending problem, which has since been resolved.
I checked with a "tail -f " on the last log file when I try to upload and no lines are added

That's why I can't find where the problem comes from, I can't see any info ...

Looks like a file exists at public/api/fof/upload/index.html can you check if that is the case?

I know these are basic suggestions but you never know... is the file size of the upload too large? What’s the file type? And, disable that notifications extension to make sure there’s no conflict. Because I don’t use that extension so I don’t know anything about it.

I'm testing with an image (10kb,.png) and the plugin is configured to accept files up to 512kb, so it's okay on that side. And the .png format is allowed.
I disabled the notification extension, there are no changes. I don't think that's it, I installed it two days ago and I already had the problem with the "upload" plugin

I think it's due to the configuration of the .htaccess file which is in flarum/public, but I don't know enough about apache to adapt it

That file should not be there, you should remove it.

The fact that you get a permission denied means your server is misconfigured.

Without this file, I have this error : No matching DirectoryIndex.

For me, there are only several ways to resolve this error:

create an index.html file in the folder,
give "Options + Indexes" rights to the folder (but it's not secure, I don't want)
modify the http.conf so that apache does not look for an index file (but this configuration suits me very well like that, because I have other services running on the server that need it )

Also I removed the index.html and I tested option number 2, just to see, and it doesn't solve the problem.
I don't think the upload file problem is due to this .html file

Hello,
this morning, without having touched the server, flarum stopped working.
I cleared the cache and got this error message while going to the homepage : "Oops! Something went wrong. Please reload the page and try again."

oddly every time I want to access to a page, the log indicates a problem related to the upload. I uninstalled the upload plugin, to be able to access the forum. .

php composer.phar remove fof/upload

I don't understand because I wasn't trying to upload a file, just display a page
I post the log, maybe it will help with this old problem with the plugin upload.
