Install extension on local Flarum

Hi all, in order to learn how to develop new extension, how can i install my new extension as a developer, to test the changes in real time on a local flarum?

i see that @clarkwinkelmann do this on his video, but i do not understand how 🙂

The only difference with my videos is that mine is named workbench, but the documentation shows how to name it packages. Any name can be used.

this is the step too difficult to understand for me.

i need to create a new folder called e.g workbench (where?) with my extension in. but how can i install into my local flarum...

The problem with this tutorials and walkthrough's is that they are based on original knowledge of things. More than basic knowledge I'd say outside of flarum. Language knowledge.

Reality is, he's trying to show you how to run, when you don't know how to get out of bed. No offence, its my issue too 😋

even a developer start with zero knowledge
