composer prefer source

just to know if i understand well,

now i have my extension on packagist, so if i write

composer require justoverclock/flarum-ext-contactme

it works but, i'm moved to another pc, so i have my workbench configured, what if i use the --prefer-source command on my local flarum? this will force to install the local extension from my workbench folder right?

Justoverclock prefer source downloads all sources of all dependencies. That is not really helpful as it will be terribly slow.

If you want it to install the local dev version use

composer require justoverclock/flarum-ext-contactme:*@dev
