Member - Add "logged-in" class to body tag

askvortsov Yes, I wanted to practice making an extension with a components folder and file. There are much simpler ways to get this done in core.

There’s already something in core which adds the “touch” and “no-touch” classes to the body tag. I wonder how that is being done? If no one immediately knows I may search through core later. Edit: Found where touch/no-touch is. Not as helpful as I had hoped. https://github.com/flarum/core/blob/98393707013647d4e6c4400fab41f5f3e67b0a04/js/src/common/Application.js#L220

On that note, in case it’s not obvious, however this is added to core we need the touch/no-touch classes to stay. So the JavaScript needs to add to the class list like this extension does and not completely replace the body class.

Updated! Now includes two BBCodes: [members] and [guests] to manually hide post content based on logged in status.

@IanM was very gracious to clean this up a bit. Updates are:

Bump JS deps (webpack-config especially, was on beta.10)
Use Webpack 5 (Hence requiring flarum/core ^ 1.2)
Add/update a couple of imports
Format JS using Flarum's prettier config
Use TS
Build production JS

huuduy216 I think so. Because it’s just using CSS if you want to hide something. It’s not doing anything super secure or fancy.

Main purpose is to do something like:

Make a sign up button show only for logged out users
Make a special message (but nothing super private) show for only logged-in members
Make your site pink for logged out folks, and yellow for logged in folks. 🙃 (As a silly example of what one could do.)

Hello! Thanks for this great extension. Its work great!
Can this apply not only as CSS rule, but completely remove hiden text from html, if user not a member, like this work in Login 2 See Plus? Can be optional, in case someone needs to leave hiden content available to search engines...

I dont want to hide all links or even all images as it work in Login 2 See Plus, but I need to hide some custom text (sometimes its links and sometimes its just usual text) like it work in your extension, but I need to remove hiden text completely from html, like it work in Login 2 See Plus... 🙂

This extension is a direct copy of the extension shared by user @010101, with no changes made for now. The maintenance of the extension has been taken over by me, and future updates will be provided here.

Since the original extension has been removed from GitHub, this version is published as-is without any changes. This is a temporary solution, and new features are planned for the future. I am open to suggestions and would appreciate your feedback on potential updates.

To clarify, this extension is an unmodified copy of the original extension, which I have taken over the maintenance and development for with the permission of the original author. New feature updates are planned.
