Justoverclock i'm working on a welcome box, but i'm not sure if someone is interested to this (if i need to make it public or not). If someone have suggestion, improvements, ideas, maybe we could join forces. i will release this public only if someone is interested
Ralkage I would suggest leaving the avatar animation out or have the option to turn it off in an extension setting; you can probably take it one step further and replace the basic avatar helper with say the AvatarEditor component like this extension did it 🙂
admiralarjun why to show the logout button? Let's not encourage users to logout... and i love this extension. looks super clean
Darkle It looks very interesting! it reminds me of @Kylo extension, maybe you would like to take a look at it, it's been a while and nobody has updated it, maybe it will help you or you can make a fork https://discuss.flarum.org/d/24496-welcome-widgets
Darkle Justoverclock You are improving a lot and it is very motivating to see how you started without much knowledge and see how much you are achieving. @Kylo is currently away due to work, @IanM for example is taking care of maintaining temporary forks of some of his extensions 🙂
askvortsov You are improving a lot and it is very motivating to see how you started without much knowledge and see how much you are achieving. Justoverclock We were calling to go through basic extension dev just 2 weeks ago, and now you're publishing multiple well-designed, functional extensions. The progress you've made and work you've done is incredible, and in such a short time too: I'm very impressed! Nobody immediately knows how to code: learning is always a process. If you continue doing what you're doing, you'll become an excellent developer.
Justoverclock Darkle i'm doing my best 🙂 (I started learning javascript a few days ago) thank you very much for encouragement! thank you very much @askvortsov 😃
Ralkage Justoverclock I'll be around to help in any way I can as well 🙂 @askvortsov is a wonderful mentor and just from our first call I learned so much! I've also seen enough Flarum code to understand the basics and what aspiring extension developers, such as yourself, need in regards to pulling in the right components 😉
