Hey! I am going to try and install myself.
Do I install Composer on my mac or does it install via Shell access to where my hosting is?

You will need to SSH into your hosting. I believe the Mac terminal supports this

Okay, so I read through all the docs for installing composer and Flarum...and I am clueless. I don't understand how to do this and HostGator cannot do it for me. 🙁

When Flarum is not in Beta, will there be another way to install via 1-click install like other things on Cpanel?

aaronhall u don't need to install composer....u can't...u need a client to connect to hostgator (personally i use mobaXterm) and access to your hosting with a terminal

and u need only to configure your cpanel

I just don't understand how to do it. It's like a foreign language to me.
Okay, is there a video that walks through the whole process? I tend to be a visual learner.

Great video, but once I get in and I input this: composer create-project flarum/flarum . --stability=beta

an error pops up: [InvalidArgumentException]
Project directory "I removed the name." is not empty.

aaronhall this happens when the target directory is not empty. Can you quickly show the directory structure you have on your server? ls -la will help usually.

the folder must be empty to install flarum...make a new folder

I have several add on domains...I want to install in one of my add ons

Okay I get the command now, but where I am lost is how to I access the empty folder (or my add on domain folder) where I want Flarum to be installed? How do i access it on Terminal I guess?

aaronhall so when u open the terminal, you are on your server root...

so use cd foldername to navigate into the folder

It was installing but then got this error: Your requirements could not be resolved to an installable set of packages.
