Unable to make any changes to the forum

I have been struggling quite a lot lately with the installations 😆 however I made it with the installation, but past few hours I have been trying to find out why I cannot get the forum working properly. Here is the thing, after fresh installation and connecting it to the database, whenever I go to the administration page, I get the following "Not Found
The requested URL was not found on this server." When I try to start a test discussion "The requested resource was not found." With debugs enabled:

Tried to look for path related issues, htaccess but cannot find the root cause

popopret are you really sure the htaccess is enabled and that the Apache rewrite module is being used?

My strategy to verify modules are correctly enabled in Apache is to edit the file in a way I'm sure will cause an error. For example rename RewriteRule with RewriteRuleWontWork in the file and try to access the website. If there's no Apache error, then the Apache config is the problem. You can try putting an invalid statement at the root of the htaccess as well as inside the IfModule. If there's a reaction outside of IfModule but not inside, then the htaccess is working but the Rewrite module isn't enabled.

clarkwinkelmann I will update you tomorrow on that since it is late here now. As far as I remember the rewrite module is being used, because to the best of my knowledge when I tried to perform that specific step again, it said that this was already enabled/used.

clarkwinkelmann Quick update on that. This is kind of strange. So basically I wanted to see if my htaccess is enabled, stumbled on this source https://docs.bolt.cm/4.0/howto/making-sure-htaccess-works#test-if-htaccess-is-working

With their given php file I was able to get the "The file .htaccess exists and is readable to the webserver. These are its contents:" But I seem to fail at the mod_rewrite. Still performing their steps and I get "The requested URL was not found on this server." when I try to request the test page. Instead if it was working I should've gotten custom page stating that the request is working. What confuses me is when I go to the CLI and type the following:

a2enmod rewrite

Module rewrite already enabled

I've been restarting the apache few times just to make sure, no caching as well. What could be the issue there?
