It randomly decided to work, somewhat out of the blue, the only thing I changed after rebuilding the criteria (and delete the old one) was from discussions started =>100 to Posts Made => 100 everything, badges, group checks the same .. but I had at one point removed the Metrics altogether and tested and it didn't work...

I'm not sure if something I did fixed it or just random happiness would love to know if I went wrong somewhere originally tho because still confused why it worked.

Can I use this to automatically suspend a user if the total uploaded data from FoF Upload for the day exceeds a certain amount and get an email notification? Or in other words to use this as an automatic upload flood detection?

CyberGene nope i don't think this extension supports fof upload. And there is no code that calculates user entire file upload size. I think code both extensions need to be updated to add this feature

Hari the upload extension just needs to send an event: upload by user X, size Y. The automoderator would listen to these and cumulate the size on daily basis. Once exceeded, automatically fire a suspend action + admin notification.

I’m really bothered by the exploitability of the upload extension and finding ways to reduce the risk.

CyberGene it's managed by fof group, if they consider this feature as useful they will definitely add it. Go and open a issue on fof/upload GitHub repo

by bad actors? Yes, there is always a risk. However, there should be some effort taken ( most likely by team behind fof/upload ) to harden extension security.

CyberGene I’m really bothered by the exploitability of the upload extension and finding ways to reduce the risk.

I don't allow everyone access to this extension - I use auto moderator to manage a user group and after a lot of effort (100 posts, plus a bunch of badge/like requirements) they attain access to fof/upload - until such time they are free to use a free image service.

All this said, probably wiser to discuss issues/concerns with fof/upload on it's own post.

SeguirBlog not sure what you want to do here. Can you maybe explain again what you want to achieve? You want to add people to the Moderator group automatically?

If I understand you right, I don't think that this is currently possible. You want to suspend a user on certain behaviour automatically. I am uncertain how that behaviour should be defined and how Auto-Moderation (with its current set of actions) could assist.

PS.: Please do not do multi-posts. Read our guidelines to learn more. Especially this is applicable:

Avoid making multiple posts in a row when one would suffice. This is a forum, not a chat room.

It's not working for me guys, I've read the entire post several times, and I don't understand why.
I'm sure I've missed something obvious, but I can't find it.

I have successfully installed the mod, but it does not appear in my list of applications.
This is my current configuration:

PHP 8.1.8

Code1990 please share your php flarum info output with us. Are you certain that you have been within the right folder before running the composer install command?

GreXXL I already solved it, thank you very much, the error was that I was not specifying to composer where to install the mod.

Hey @askvortsov Its extension is good, I just think I had to put one more option because it recognizes by point for the moderator to disclose by sharing the topics he earns points so this is an advantage to better publicize the forum... What do you think? What did you think of these tips? Who liked it to help spread the word like this discussion..

Chope currently not possible with this extension. But there if FoF Filter instead, that you can use for exactly this.
