llaumgui It's would be a great core feature.
Just adding a page / popup is something that could be easily done via extension so I'm not sure why it'd need to be in core? That being said, I like the feature, would be great to have an ext like that (and probably not that difficult either).
As to placement, maybe a button on the editor like stack overflow does could be good UX?
