Justoverclock the best example I could think of would be blog posts, because they tend to be longer and about a specific subject so the number of times a keyword could be used over may be much higher.

ctml maybe I could serialize an option in the backend, that allow to choose if u want to parse only the first match, or use it like now

Justoverclock either or works for my use case. I would imagine by default should be good enough, I'm not sure if others prefer it to show multiple times for each word.

Another feature idea could be an optional dedicated user facing glossary page where it lists them out in table format, so they can read them over all at once.

I am unable to install this extension in beta16, v1 is OK, but on my beta 16 it is not working (when installed using "*" addition to install code i get blank page for this extension in admin dashboard (no errors in log file).

but anyway actually i have a solution to parse the words only once in a post, but i need your feedback for that, i don't know if u guys prefer to have all words parsed or only one.

this is up to you 🙂, i have a version ready for that if u want, or maybe i could send to anyone want this solution, the code that need to change (is just one line of code)

Justoverclock personally I think it makes sense to only parse the first of each word. But if it could be optional via a setting that would be ideal since it gives users the choice.

I just had a vision. You could replace my old (now defunct) hashtag extension. I retired mine because it just used inner html to replace words starting with a hashtag and it caused a lot of conflicts.

I see with this extension you are using code that can find and replace. You’re using regular expressions... I feel like with some tweaks the code you already have here could find any word that starts with # and turn it into a link that when clicked searches the forum for that keyword.

i will look into this bug, i think this happen only on mobile, so maybe is at least some css tweak...if anyone find this tweak fell free to write here meanwhile i will look into this
