"Nothing to install, update or remove"

Hi all.

I'm trying to upgrade from beta15, but for some reason, composer says Nothing to install, update or remove and, of course, nothing actually gets updated. What could be blocking the update?

troymccann I'd recommend you set all plugins to"*". But you should not set flarum/core to "*". You need to set it to "^0.1.0" if you want to stay on the beta or "^1.0.0" if you want to update to stable.

troymccann try running extiverse check with the --ansi flag so that you can see FCL with yes/no instead of the icon we now no longer see.

Also understand that extiverse check only checks whether extensions are compatible, it doesn't mutate your composer.json to allow downloading them. What extiverse upgrade does is (what GreXXL also mentions ) change the constraint of each extension to * and set flarum/core to the latest version ^v1.0.0.

Thanks, guys. Not sure why, but I repeated the above a few times reloading from backup each try, sometimes it wouldn't update from beta15, other times it would but wouldn't load the site. Eventually, it just worked. Not sure why or what was different. 🤷‍♂️
