See here I made it in Free Flarum but there is one more problem that you will not be able to hide new icon on discussion page. IS it ok and also you can't hide reply icon on home page is it OK??

Actually its very hard to manage in free FLARUM if you are still interested with this disabilities then you can still tell me here.

like you said, this seems to be quite difficult with freelarum , maybe we should wait until there's a better solution

my goal from the beginning was just to move the menu bar downwards with css so it can be easily used by mobile users
