I have set up a flarum forum for our little community group, in which I hope to get about 50 core contributing members, and probably lots of visitors who will come to check out the forum to see if it's worth joining.
I'm thinking ahead and trying to work out the best way to minimise the admin workload for both setting up new users and avoiding spammers and trolls.
I think I understand how to do it, now that I have discovered how to set up the first 5 users and the various extensions and permissions, but I think I'll need another extension or two. Please can someone knowledgeable tell me which extension is required to:
- let visitors sign up and become member but not be able to do any more until an admin puts them in a group (essentially members have the same rights as visitors until then)
- some tags are publicly readable tags and others are private - are search engine spiders treated nicely?
