GDPR, CCPA, POPIA compliance?

what can the owner/hoster of a flarum forum do to make his/her forum compliant with GDPR, CCPA, POPIA, and Most importantly the LGPD?
or is this controlled by Free Flarum, and Flarum?

adminmatthew these type of compliances are pretty much depend on forum discussion contents, if discussion content doesn't related to personal information then registration only bring email+username are also considered as privacy?

And write a proper GDPR compliant ToS & PP asking users for consent.

If you run non-functional cookies, you probably also need to add a cookie banner.

FreeFlarum is Flarum core plus a few selected extensions. So it will have the same compliance as the Flarum itself. I am not aware of any particular plugin FreeFlarum created for this purpose.

As for FreeFlarum, we don't enforce anything related to the above-mentioned. It is up to forum owners to make their forums "compatible with laws", if they use extensions that contain additional features or if they expanded their forums by another ways and might require some kind of a warning for the users. We reserve the right to cancel forums that do not comply with that, if a complaint is made.

I agree with what others said - usually, it is enough to use FoF Terms, if you need it. I read that there is also a GDPR extension in the works, and we might include that at FreeFlarum later
