[unknown] instead of username when reply

Hey, guys! I've upgraded my forum from b16 to 1.0.2 and spotted a bug I can't figure out what to do with.

When you reply to the post you see the username and post id in composer as it should be. But when you send your reply, you see [unknown] instead of the username. And then if you refresh the page [unknown] turns into a normal username.

At first I thought it was because of the option regarding the old format of mentions but when I turned it off nothing changed.

Tell please, where can I look and what else can I try to do?

Arnold I believe this bug has been reported and @Kyrne is looking into it. It's a bug with pusher / web sockets.

Arnold unknown is supposed to show when the post is deleted, if the post is not deleted and the display name shows up after a refresh then my guess is that the post was not in the data store.

When you were replying was the post shown and loaded ?

therealsujitk If I recall correctly it was a bug concerning [delete] instead of username, so it's a bit different thing.

SychO yep, I see the post I'm replying on when I write and post my reply. Basically everything works as usual, but when I press "Post Reply" the username which I saw in the reply preview suddenly turns to [unknown].

OK, @SychO gave me a hint on where to look and it turns out this bug was caused by fof/filter extension.

I don't know yet what exactly going on, maybe fof/filter prevents the post from inserting in the data store, I will try to look into that as far as I can.

Me too i have this problem. When i reply, it shows @ [unknown] , until i like a post on that page or i refresh the page

matteocontrini i used to have it but uninstalled it long time. Am sure there isnt no trace of it either. It looks like now its something else ☹️

Braden does it happen every time or only sometimes? In my case it was happening always and disabling Filter made it better. It probably (?) still happens in specific situations but not always like before.

matteocontrini i can say it happens to @ not most active names, it behaves like it has to search, like if the names are cached, sometimes instead of @ unknown , it shows @ deleted

so its hard to tell if its cloudflare causing this or a bug or database has become big to be fetched

That might not be it.
We have this (@deleted) once in a while in several discussions and we don't use Cloudflare.
After a refresh everything is okay. Also it seems to be the logged in user himself to be the "deleted" user in some discussion posts.

BTW, a pull request has been submitted that fixes a similar issue, I suspect this is the same issue, it will most likely be part of 1.1

I am having the same problem with version 1.2.1 on Free Flarum. It appears for me on the emails.

tom23 does it happen to you with all usernames that are being referenced or only specific?
