Impression
This is an idea for an extension I want to start work on.
When new users sign up to the forum, they are left in the dark on how to use the forum. In some online software, they have a "tour". It shows them the main features of the software and how to use them. For most social media, it requests some basic information from its users like their basic settings. I plan to implement both of these in this extension.
When users first sign up, it asks them to confirm their email. After their email is confirmed, a popup shows inviting them to flarum.
They will be prompted take a tour. It will navigate around flarum showing parts of the UI with some text explaining it.
After the tour. They will be prompted to enter some choice settings. Thus leaving the user with a positive "impression".
I'm planning on making this extendable so that extension authors can add their extensions into the tour and their settings to the settings page at the end.
