gamefans You can probably use CSS then, if you never want to see any summaries. Add this to your Custom CSS in the admin panel > Appearance tab.

Okay, there's 3 different behaviors here you're seeing all related to how Flarum treats stickies.

The excerpt will appear for unread Sticky first posts.

The unread Sticky will stick on the top of all discussions, and will always stick on the top of the discussion listings for tags it belongs to.

All threads are considered unread when you log out because you are now a guest.

Ergo, as a guest you see the excerpt and the sticky is on top of All Discussions. When you are logged in, and the sticky discussion has been read, you see what you described in the quoted text.

Anonymous43 No, having two classes as distinct selectors will apply the CSS property to both. Note to > symbol in between the selectors in my first post, that denotes a parent > child relationship. I just did that to ensure only the discussion list excerpt is targeted, since I believe the same class name is used elsewhere in Flarum.

Thank you bro, I understand this mechanism, but I personally think it would be better to display the top under the label only under the label, regardless of whether it is logged in or not.

gamefans So you want sticky posts that only appear as sticky under their tags?

That isn't something that's currently an option or extension, and it can't be solved by CSS alone. You would need to create an extension or see if anyone would create it for you (always ask, don't assume).

If you want to pursue that, I could change the name and tags of this discussion to make it more obvious to anyone looking for some small extensions to write. It'd probably just be a fork of the current Sticky extension to remove a couple of those behaviors you don't like, if any community developer is reading this.
