Integrate main website(codeigniter) with flarum

Hi,

Main website: LAMP stack (built using codeigniter framework).

Please can anyone advice on how to integrate both logins? - without need for 3rd party identity provider: AD etc ldap etc.

ie: we login to the main website (LOCAL AUTHENTICATION: mysql database), click on a link forum and it takes us into flarum without prompting for login again. Is there any API or something that we can leverage.

Chaz if you have access to add a few lines of code during your login process you can use the SSO PHP plugin in your project, and it will create the user if they do not exist on the forum, and authenticate the user as well.
