Register several times with the same e-mail

Hello,

I am testing in one Flarum Comminity and see that I can register many users with same email in gmail.
Only need to add "+" in the address and the all e-mails go to my primary e-mail.

Example:
1º Register with myemail@gmail.com
2º Register with myemail+1@gmail.com
3º Register with myemail+2@gmail.com
4º Register with myemail+3@gmail.com
.
.
.
In all cases go with the correct registrationand it's the same gmail basic email address (myemail@gmail.com)

Walys I believe it's a feature rather than a bug. We don't have anything in place to detect and/or block email aliases.

If you wanted to block those, an extension could hook into the email validation to block the alternate emails.

I assume most web application also consider each of these as unique email addresses.

Not at all, I working with other platforms that do not allow to register with sub-addressing (new word for me. thanks Luceos!) but I my mind the name for this address It has always been "alias".
Any one of this I remember now that do not allow to register with sub-addressing is Just-Eat platform and many others food delivery.

I actually use sub-addressing (that's the name of that feature). Even here on discuss for (approved) test accounts.

Any application that declines the ability to register with sub-addressing should be forbidden, because it also offers sender visibility.

I've actually replied to a tweet preaching the same thing today 😛
