Welcome to my new Flarum based project - hostrisk.com (actually, it's HOSTR!SK, but of course, the ! isn't DNS compliant 🙂 so it's a play with words (and a way of suggesting importance)
Link is https://hostrisk.com
This is actually to satisfy a personal need of mine - to collect information security and threat analysis from across the globe and have it centralised in one (pretty) place where I can see it, and react (if need be - and in most cases, given my job as a CISO and Infrastructure Security Expert, that's virtually every time).
There's some great infosec resources out there - some full of noise, and some with useful content. I wanted a way to collate this information and hopefully use it as a way of expanding the discussions with other professionals who may chose to join - mostly to increase awareness and share intelligence.
You'll notice a number of extensions in this platform, and that's intended 🙂 I've even used @katos signature extension as a way of setting a disclaimer for the imported posts to ensure that no copyright is being breached - you'll see this on all posts created by "system".
And, no Flarum instance is complete without extensions from @Justoverclock - I'm using a number (in fact, virtually all) of his extensions 🙂 I also need to pass on my sincere thanks to the devs of Flarum, the FoF team, and anyone else I missed (not intentional, but don't want to fill a post with unnecessary mentions).
The theme is a new design - based loosely on the Nord palette, but uses some Orange to spice things up. The logo is a FA one - I used a CSS gradient to get the "fire" effect. And lastly, the background image in the header isn't CC (Creative Commons) - I have a subscription to stockphotosecrets.com ($99 year) meaning I have access to decent images and can modify them with the license I have. In this particular case, I changed the background colour filter to match the rest of the site - it wasn't that colour to start with 🙂
Finally - this site (as does metabullet) uses my RSS script to automatically generate new content on a schedule 🙂
