lets say for example "test posting" has so many posts in discuss.flarum.org and it is hidden right, will the discussions from that tag shows in search results?

Zedd actually we can not hide.

We can restrict posts by tag so users will not see them in search, But hiding specific tags from search is not possible, since this not related to search flarum team will not be implementing such featurea in core. However a 3rd party extension may help to adjust how flarum search should behave - maybe by a search driver idk what's it is called.

In addition there should be features like exclud certain search results from search by keywords (sex, porn ..etc) is it called explicit serach? Gogle does this.

askvortsov i would say both. we should be able to censor the search results but it would be a big extension.

for now, if I hide by tag from all discussions they should not be visible in the search results globally.

there should be a search page setting in the admin area where we can define all these rules.

Hari I don't see this making it into core / tags. There's a lot of complexities and the UI would be pretty complicated. An extension could probably accomplish this though.
