  • Twitter login in fof/oauth shows 401

Currently, I am using Flarum 1.0.4 with fof/oauth plugin 1.0.1.

But I only see this error message:

Received HTTP status code [401] with message "{"errors":[{"code":32,"message":"Could not authenticate you."}]}" when getting temporary credentials.

I've tried regenerating my API key, double-checking if there were no whitespace on my API input and callback URL but no luck.

Have any ideas about this?
Thanks.

I am also facing similar issue

Hari now i am facing issue with Twitter login , i have configured everything correctly, double-checked the credentials but still getting this error

Received HTTP status code [401] with message "{"errors":[{"code":32,"message":"Could not authenticate you."}]}" when getting temporary credentials.

Have you gotten approval to use Twitter oauth? I think you have to request it first. I can't really remember the process I followed.

Hari what's your website address? It's possible you're being blocked from accessing the Api if your terms and privacy policy is not visible in your home page.

If it's the case, you'll have to make sure those conditions are met then you reapply (in your application make it clear that it's only email, and profile picture you will use and that it's for granting access to your site). This must also reflect in your privacy policy.

        Not possible to disclose

I'm pretty sure that's not the case

Ffuser1 Also, recheck key and token.

That's the first thing I did, I'm sure everything is correctly configured.

Maybe this issue only happening with sub directories? Or cloudflare's firewall settings?

3 of us having the same issue

Could you please confirm that both of you running flarum in a sub directory?

I am having this issue as well. Either we are all missing something in the app settings, or the extension needs some work.
