Hello guys,
i have a prolem with slug when i create new discussion and tag
For ex:

My title: Mã nguồn the url will be m-ngu-n, but my expectation is ma-nguon

Currently I don't see any suitable extension to do this

Does anyone recommend any extensions

There was an extension for beta 16 but is not yet compatible with 1.0. The author could probably do a sponsored update, but as far as I know there is no free option.

I also wrote on extension in the past based on Wordpress trasliteration approach linked here, but after have this feature included into Flarum i stopped its development. Maybe you can update it with a few edits.

Are you sure the exact same problem happens for the tag slug and the discussion slug? Both use a different method.

The tag slug is pre-computed entirely client-side using a custom method we wrote that definitely won't handle non-English locales correctly. It's intended to provide only an initial value which is expected to be modified by the forum admin to something suitable. You can see the source code here https://github.com/flarum/core/blob/v1.0.4/js/src/common/utils/string.ts#L16

The discussion slug however uses Laravel's Str::slug method on the server side which is much more advanced and should support most languages. That method uses https://github.com/voku/portable-ascii behind the scenes with a bit of additional logic https://github.com/laravel/framework/blob/8.x/src/Illuminate/Support/Str.php#L697

There used to be the FriendsOfFlarum Transliterator extension that offered an improved slugging experience but since multiple Laravel versions Larave's slugger (and therefore Flarum's slugger) has actually become better than what Transliterator offered so it has been discontinued.
