If anyone has been itching to create an extension here’s an idea for you. Or, perhaps eventually I’ll make this if no one else does.
It’s just comparing text against a list of weighted words to determine if the text is positive or negative.
The hypothetical extension could add an icon in the discussion list next to each post marking it as a positive, neutral, or negative topic. And/or, the sentiment rating could be next to the time inside a post, or anywhere else.
This way, at least according to this “afinn” list of words, people can see if they are about to read something negative or not.
You could eventually add other languages but that would be quite a project.
