Hi! What is the possibility of building a private forum in 2021? I have gone through this thread, but it is old. Is there any new update?

This extension can be used to limit who can register to your forum https://discuss.flarum.org/d/17845-friendsofflarum-doorman

You can configure your Flarum permissions so that only registered members see the content ("View Forum" permission)

If all your members have an email address for your organization, you could also use https://discuss.flarum.org/d/28377-email-whitelist to whitelist who is able to create an account. If the content is made private through permissions, users will only see the content after they validate their email. People could still create a fake account with a valid email they can't verify, but then they shouldn't be able to see anything.

Trying out Doorman and installing it using composer as advised in its page, composer require fof/doorman. But I get this message that ./composer.json is not writable. Composer has -rwxrwxr-x permission and is owned by www-data user and group. I have added myself to the www-data group too.

Can you confirm whether this has succeeded by running groups YOURUSERNAME? Often you need to reboot before those changes take effect.

Just a quick question. Is there a place (home page) for all Flarum extensions where I can explore them? Or are they scattered?

Also, is there any extension that will allow the creation of users from the admin panel? Here's a thread discussing it, but it's quite old and does not conclude that someone's working on it.
