Gmail SMTP mailing error ( 500 internal server error )

Dear Support,

I've just configured all settings of my Gmail SMTP on the administration part. After Clicking " Test " , i'm getting that 500 internal server error in my console . Means the request is not completed .

owneedthem you should be able to find more details on the SMTP error in Flarum's log file at <flarum>/storage/logs

I didn't realize there was a screenshot in your first message. I'm unable to see the image, it says file broken like on the other discussion.

Can you maybe copy-paste the text of the error from the console?

If you enable debug in config.php, the console error might contain more information.

If it really is a server-side 500, it should be logged in Flarum log file. Or maybe it's a PHP general error that was logged to the system log file for PHP.

Yeah ! now i got a weird error from my server .

I still can't see the images. Not sure if that's just me or what. Can you copy-paste the error as text or host the image elsewhere?

a simple right click and open image in other tag , clear image i think .

Gmail appears to be working my end

The only thing I do recall having to do was set the password to an application password rather than the accounts.

an addon to this, you also need to make sure that smtp/imap is enabled.
And to allow less safe apps to have access to said gmail account.
