Htaccess error

Hi Flarum Community

I'm working on a school project based on Flarum which I think is twice as good as Xenforo, phpBB and even MyBB. In short, it was to say that your software is the best of the market that

With Flarum, no problem with the installation, but once you start using it, it's a drama. The htaccess for the support IONOS by 1&1 that this one tries the access to a resource which does not exist.

Would you have any indications, ideas or even magic formulas who knows?

I am sorry, but repeating the hosting in your subject and twice in the body of your OP isn't just referring to them. Regardless, let's get you your support.

Can you possibly share some details about how you installed things? Did you install into a subfolder?

Answer to your question:

No, the folder is at the root in a www folder
The system domain points to /www/public

Here are the steps followed with Putty

Root composer download outside the www folder
Create a new Flarum project in www which is empty
Installation of Flarum in database with MariaDB
Then, the htaccess does not work

I specify that with Laragon no problem.

I assume your "test system area" is the one that works fine?

I assume that your hosting plan points the domain to the root of your installation directory and not to public. You can follow the documentation on Customizing Paths to make Flarum be served from its installation directory. This involves, among others, moving the htaccess and index.php one level up.

Follow the instructions and let us know how you fare.

I did follow the instructions on customizing the paths. Still an internal server error.

bryx well it's clearly Apache that is complaining. You will need to check those logs to find out what the actual problem is.

You're right, it does come from my hosting. I just tested on a competitor's hosting and Flarum works perfectly.
Thank you for your help, finally it is not Flarum who is at fault, but my hosting.
