it might be the built-in android webview that's out of date. I'm not sure how to check it though.

The error is about Object.fromEntries, which is a native browser method, so it means you need to find an update for webview with a webkit version that supports that method.

clarkwinkelmann I am using a tool to build the Flarum App. strangely enough, some devices use the app fine, but some devices report errors.

mtrstatic Most likely android OS version, if I remember correctly Android WebView changed to WebKit in Android 9 or 10, anything less than that will probably result in this type of error.

Flarum worked fine.

Wait a minute, I have a question. I have multiple test devices, I'll call them A, B, C, D. Device A is running Android 5.1.1 and found that it can't render the page at all (it seems noJavaScript is being loaded) its browser UA is"Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; Android 5.1.1; SM-N976N Build/QP1A.190711.020; wv) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Chrome/74.0.3729.136 Mobile Safari/537.36"
Next switch to device B, which comes with Android version 7.1.2. But it can display the forum correctly without any problem. Its UA is: Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; Android 7.1.2; SM-G973N Build/PPR1.190810.011; wv) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Chrome/92.0. 4515.131 Mobile Safari/537.36
Then there is device C, which runs Android 9. Of course, it works well.
Finally, there is the HDL-W09 (D), a device running Android 8.0. It is manufactured by Huawei. Its UA is shown at here.

Devices running Android 5: completely unloadable
Devices running Android 7: completely working
Devices running Android 8: error (Object.fromEntries)
Devices running Android 9: completely working
So it probably doesn't have much to do with Android

So it might be related to Chrome version. chrome 70/74 can't be loaded, while chrome 92 is fine.

mtrstatic More than likely it's an android related issue with WebView and the version of Chrome that is being used by WebView. It's also possible that due to the whole China tech trade ban thing Huawei can't get the updated WebView with the newer Chrome WebKit version due to google being a US company.

If you need to support older Android/Webview versions, you might be able to include some polyfills for the unsupported features.
