This is different from being responsive. I thought you meant that Flarum doesn't respond well to different screen sizes.
This is really more of a blockquote/overflow issue. Blockquote will exhibit this behavior, and it seems like long character strings will as well. I think a better route for solving this would be to open up an issue on Github, this is something we want Flarum to handle in the backend.
